I am reminded of a chap, years ago, who got up on a Hollywood stage,
to accept his Oscar. Instead of the usual, rambling speech, giving
thanks to one's producer, mother and bar-keep, he just stood there
for a few seconds and then, before walking off, simply said....
"It couldn't have happened to a finer feller".
In Ted's case, that statement is absolutely true.
