Making a flat statement like "not in the same league" sounds like
a politician.  What do you mean by that? The Yankees are not
in the same league as the Dodgers is a true statement. Yours
is non specific.

I wouldn't know a Yankee or a Dodger, from the Prime Minister's Eleven. So 
I'll take your word for them not being in the same league, and in that 
case; would you compare them?

You wouldn't, that's the point - they're not in the same league - and 
difficult to compare.
