Dear Flexers,
Another from the "old files," as Ted suggested.
In 1949 I was in Paris and took a couple of dozen photos. This shot sticks
in my memory while all the others have faded away, and rightfully so.
This photo has much meaning to me, given my age at the time, 18, the year,
the place, and the gaze (or non-gaze) of the people shown.
What became of the little boy? His father? The family?
I returned to Paris in 1996 and found the second shot. Nothing had changed
but everything was different.
