Good afternoon all!

I read the article about the Oly, E-M5 on The Luminous Landscape and was quite impressed with their findings. By pure chance, I run into one at the local London Drugs. I tried it out on the spot with the 12-50mm kit lens and decided to buy it.
I had the manual printed, because the small one in the box was useless.
I bought it for the same reason you have stated, but when I looked at the results I got, I was very disappointed and returned it for a full refund.
My findings:
Wrong colours, at most used colour-settings, the Fraser River looked like hot chocolate, and the waves on the Nicomekl River were purple, with a bright blue sky that had an unnatural cyan-cast! What a combination with the purple waves, totally unacceptable! Furthermore, there was quite a bit of colour fringing, and in order to remove it in Photoshop, I had to go to an extreme setting that I never had used before, and after this fix, the colours had suffered badly (close to B&W). I think that I still have the test shots somewhere, but I am late, packing for a one week trip, on top of it, I must admit, I have no idea how to upload those images.

Hope that my findings are useful,
Erich

G'Mornin' all!

Many of you know, that I've been considering the purchase of the OLY, OM-D
(E-M5), as a travel camera.

They're scarce as hen's teeth, but a friend managed to buy one, and loaned it to me for a day or so. To be honest, there is a lot there, to like! However, I'd taken an OM-1 to the Soviet Union, back in 1975, and had forgotten just how tiny it was. The OM-D is really, really tiny. Especially after using the
R8+DMR!

For fun, here is the Oly, with 4 lenses you'll likely never see on one! (Some
"R" content, so it's OK!)
