Hello,
it's just been posted on dpReview a Hands On Preview on the new
Fuji x100. Fuji let them use one of the Prototypes for some testing
and handling exams - which slots in wonderfully with their (imo) well
managed p.r. campaign in support for the introduction of this 'Leica M-
like' Digital Camera. Appears, to me, that this camera kicks Leica's
X1's @SS six ways from breakfast and does it for 600 bucks less. I
will grant that the x100 is notably larger than a Leica X1 and more
physical space makes it a lot easier to engineer & design features
into a camera so an argument that the two cameras represent two
different design paradigms would have a lot of merit, imo.
Speaking as a 'Photo Geek' and 'Tech Geek' - the innovative
viewfinder technology fuji came up with for the x100 makes a part of
my just cry out "gimeee - gimeee - gimee". :-) I have zip idea whether
the technology is any good, but it's like the proverbial cheese for
the proverbial mouse... makes my 'nose' twitch wanting to run under
the 'cat' to get some. (Ha Ha)
