It seems that Leica has patiently modified the mount of the Leica R. Not a reproach, though.
Although the samples I have produced are not too good, I feel the resuts are OKay. Probably because I love this Lens...

It also requires more mirror clearance than the SL has, so one of the three bayonet lugs is longer (and the corresponding space on the SL2 or R camera-side flange is also longer) to prevent its use on the Leicaflex or SL.
