Dear Ph, I also think that photoshop (levels /curves, adjustments) are essential in the digital world.. Apart from that I find an unbelievable "artistic' pleasure into going beyond the above mentioned techniques and colorize and fantasize what could be made of the original.... Still the basic is the photo I took. Now I start thinking in making photos (frontal ,faces) especially to go on with some concepts. I also find a longing to turn back to the negatives of Leica and scanned a few, the last roll I used , to develop them on PC actually instead of the darkroom which I haven't entered since New Year . Other students of Photoshop in the course had no photographic background and had different options. For me the photo is still the base. A long mail , to all. yours sincerely Linda ----- Original Message ----- From: Philippe AMARD To: leicareflex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2008 4:55 PM Subject: [LRflex] Re: New albums :Clio, Jean-Marie,Erna So you're a fast learner Linda. :-) Some I like a lot - even if you play with photoshop - but didn't early photographers use to colour some of their BWs? after all.
