Hi Mike!

Welcome to the zoo!

Sounds like you've had quite a history in photography!

Like you, I came to Leica from Nikon (an 'F' with selenium meter - way back when that was a new item!) ... and although Nikon glass is good (some of it, very, very good!), you will find the Leica has consistency at the superb level. Others may make one or two lenses which will match (and sometimes even exceed) Leica glass, but other offerings from the same makers seem lacking.

The nice bit about Leica is that it is virtually always good. Even the dogs (by Leica standards) beat most lenses out there.

As others have mentioned, there is a lot of talent/expertise here, and it is, indeed, a very friendly , sociable, group - always willing to help, should you have a question.

There are several DMC-LC1 users here ... myself, I'm using my Leica glass on an E3, with great success. Right now, mostly my 400/6.8 Telyt, but will add the 80~200/4 Vario once I get it back from repair. (I dropped it on a "hard" lake ... it was frozen, 1 meter thick, at the time!)

I took a quick run through your flickr site. You've done some nice work! :-)

I look forward to hearing more from you!

Cheers!
