If you have ever worked with a Japanese company.... The Bosses decide what
happens and the underlings carry forth. The problem is that the culture pretty
much prohibits EVER correcting the Boss.
Thus, those out of touch with the realities of the market are precisely the
ones that make product and resource decisions for that market.

It’s very plain. Nikon built production capacity for an enlarging market, which
is actually shrinking, and they don’t have executives who understand what the
customers want.
