David- I just bought today a Metz 32 MZ-2 flash with Leica adapter from a
member on the LUG. It will be shipped from Holland. I paid $200 USD. I hope

Well, I may just run down and buy the thing... it is the 40MZ, so it's a
bit bigger, is in great nick; and available locally for CAD$100 or about US$75.
I can always buy a used 3501 adapter later (US$50) if the 351M adapter
doesn't work out.
I guess my 'other' question is: if I try the 351M adapter on the R8, am I
likely to damage anything?
Did the vendor tell you *which* Leica adapter it comes with?
BTW, if anybody is interested, my local dealer also has an R7 (CAD$1000),
90/2.8 (CAD $600), 24/2.8 (CAD$800) and a 180/3.4 APO (CAD$1800). Other
than the 1809 APO, I think these are all very good buys... given that the
Canadian Peso is about 75 cents US!
All are in near mint condition... very little use. I'm sure they will ship,
if requested.
