It looks like the expert opinion from the Flexers is more valid.....

with the camera Leica R3. For this we recommend to equip the flash unit with
the centre contact foot 301. The adapter SCA 3102 can't be used with the
afore-mentioned camera. With this adapter the flash unit can't be triggered.
