Hats off to Stuart. And to you for a great shot. I'll bet he would love one, Aram -----Original Message----- From: David Young Sent: Monday, February 06, 2012 10:00 AM To: LRflex Subject: [LRflex] Meet Stuart... Good Mornin'! Once again, we spent Sunday at the Ice Races... the last race-day of the year. Conditions were good, with temperatures of +3 to +5 (that's 37 to 41 in the USA) with brilliant sunshine. Stuart is a paraplegic (sorry, I don't know his story), with only limited use of his left hand. But Stuart doesn't let it get him down. He races his specially modified Quad (ATV), both summer and winter! Really, the only changes are hand controls, a roll cage and seat belts. Oh... and he has what we used to call a "suicide knob", so that he can steer with one hand. The rest of the racers spot him a full lap head start, and he takes the start "on the run"., while they take off from a standing start. Nevertheless, he loses every time... usually coming last. Still, isn't that better than sitting at home, feeling sorry for yourself? Personally, I admire the guy. Here's Stu, in action... http://www.furnfeather.net/Temps/Stuart.html C&C welcomed, as always.
