[LRflex] Low light Digital Photography with close subjects

Morning?
Finding myself in situations where I want to, or am asked to take photos
in available and quite low light conditions. Just wondering what
thinking there is about this. I usually reach for my leica D 1.4 on the
Digilux 3 or 'better', Konica AR 57mm 1.2 on my Pana G1. Available
light shooting seems to be very much neglected with digital offerings
overall. Is the only option to go for a Leica M9 with Summilux and
Noctilux?
