Aram,
I’ve heard these called “mosquito eaters” but I Googled the term and found that
they are really A adult Crane Flies.
We see them off and on here in California too.

Lots of these critters at the back screen in the morning. Not sure if the
smoke is a factor, but I have never seen so many.
