I can tell you that Canon wides are awful. Even the prime L lenses have
terrible edge fringing and chromatic aberrations. I've heard Nikon wides
are better and Canon telephotos are better. I like Leica lenses myself ;-)

I agree with Tina,
I had the 1,4/24 mm L version II, but I sold it quickly and are very happy now
using the Elamarit 19 mm latest version. (The Elamarit is a lot smaller too!!)
