Morning Flexers,
Was at the Zen Cafe on Yew Street in Vancouver yesterday for the Friday
gathering of Leica lovers. The Friday meeting is a legacy of Tom Abrahamsson
who lived across the street.
I took along my freshly coded Leica 40mm Summicron (made 1974) which my M10
reads as a 35mm Summicron Version IV and Don Goldberg has shaved the frame claw
on the bayonet to bring up 35 framelines on the M10.
Here is a picture of Zenner Michael taken with his 35 Summicron Asph @4.0 on my
now fully functional (so far) M10. No processing at all.

And here is Michael again - taken with my 1974 Leica M 40mm Summicron also at
f4.0 on my M10 and presented without any processing.

Note the similarity in Bokeh - check out the lights in the background - and, I
must say, I think the 44 year old lens performs very well. I was going to buy a
used 35 Summicron Asph but I don’t think I’ll bother.
You can look large if you like. Comments and insights welcome as always.
Howard
