Doug,
It is a 3rd cam only on a R8 body. It worked fine with a 60mm Elmarit which
showed f5.6 in the VF f-stop indicator. The 50mm lens is a 3cam and works fine
without the extender attached.
I read up on the extender in Leica's brochure and it said lenses 50mm and up
would work with the 2x. It listed the min F-stop after using the extender and
F4.0 was listed next to the 50mm. I recall other brands also indicate a loss
of 2 stops with a 2x extender. So low and behold I got a Summilux with this
extender! Wishful thinking...

Is this the Leicaflex or R version of the extender? Which body?
