Richard,

I just can be grateful with your words, which help me to understand better what
happens with some of my photos.
Sincerely,
Marc

You're Welcome Marc :-)

Two thoughts in response to what you've said to me and to George about this
image.

The first is that when you turned and saw the scene you knew there was
something worth trying to capture photographically before you, irregardless of
whether you thought it out consciously, your subconscious saw something and it
moved you to act. Then, as you described, you just shot and moved along, but
that just means your instincts and experiences took over to lead you to a
pleasing composition, placement of the horizon, and timing of the moment to
shoot the waves down below. Just because one isnt consciously being a skilled
image maker doesnt make one stop being one as they interact with the world
around them.

The second is that rare is the photographer whose images only say the things
they want to say and only speaks with the thoughts and ideas they thought they
were using.

Marc, There is a specialness youve created inside the white boundarys of that
posted image.

Sincerely,
Richard Ward
