Hi José,

A warm welcome to the list!
I think, but with no certainty that you're the first Spanish lister
here. And as a European living in France, I find it very well to have
new Leica fan neighbour.

About the lenses: ROM does not affect the quality of the lense. You can
even have them fitted in on previous ones.
But there might have been changes in the manufacturing process of the
later models, those sold with the ROM contacts in the first mount.
I'm sure some other lister will know and give you the information you
need about yours.
The 80-200 seems to be a much appreciated lense here, and you're lucky
to have one.

I happen to have an R4 too, which I also purchased from Ebay. And I keep
shooting with it with real pleasure.
I also own an R8. In that respect, the market price you cite is somewhat
high, unless you include the zoom lense into the "bargain".
Some R8s will go for les than 600 euros nowadays. And with the digital
craze rageing, I am still considering the DMR. If prices decrease a
little, it will become a good option

Other: Is there any pointer you could share with us to discover some of
your photographs? Thais would be nice of you.

I'm sorry I can't help more and I hope someone here will.
Yours
Phileicangenieux.
