Wow, an ambient cabin air thermometer? What a neat application - since the was
no hint of on-board Air Conditioning / cooling in nearly any European vehicle
of those years I wonder if there was perhaps a scale in the glove box that
warned of operation beyond say 30 C / 86 F . "Accostati e fermati o te ne
pentirai!!” (Pull over and stop or you will regret it”!!) The fellow passengers
no doubt might mutiny beyond 86 F :)
Thanks, Sonny! :)
Best regards,
Peter S.

A wonderful series, Peter. Thank you. A question though about the image of
the interior, specifically the steering wheel.
Do you know, or does anyone here on the List know, what did or does the gauge
in the very center of the steering wheel measure? I can make out two
different circular scales of numbers; but not the lettering at the base of
the two scales. Judging by the overall appearance of the vehicle I can’t
imagine the owner or whoever either restored or maintained such an immaculate
vehicle doing something like I would and just “stick” something in to fill up
the hole if I had lost or broken whatever was in the spot originally. :)

According to the sticker on the dash, it's vintage 1965. It looks bigger
on the inside than the outside. For scale, the "model" is 5'7" (170 cm).
