Yes. WYSIWYG. With Rise, it is the image that is being "moved" so that
looking through the VF of an SLR ( or mirrorless or DSLR.... just not a RF
camera) you see the effect directly.
The process is somewhat like this.....
Zero shift. Widest F-stop. On tripod.
Level Camera. ( Use camera level or other )
Focus on subject. ( Shift will NOT affect focus.)
Rise the lens to accommodate the entire FOV. ( you will rarely use fall in
architectural work)
Set working aperture. ( Leica / Schneider lens is not coupled for auto
aperture operation. The Canon models are))
Might check focus, or not....
Shoot.
If you try this without a tripod, the camera level can be used to establish
level and then shoot, but it will be more difficult to get it right.

When you are using a PC lens do you actually “see” the correction being
applied thru the viewfinder?
