It may be a good point. Leica has to think to her customers (actually I am
52) or to new and younger customers to join the brand even risking to loose
some of us? To survive, I mean. It is not an easy option, but trying to
understand numbers involved and where Leica would like go, I suppose they
will try to involve new customers offering what they want. What market want
they want (hope I am able to explain myself in your language).

It is a marketing war, so it may happen that sometime you think you need
things that not really need, but you want it.

My hope is that Leitz/Leica will drive a new view in the photo market. Even
small changes or technical proposition but really useful to do photo in a
lighter way though with better overall quality (lens, camera but even how
those tools have to be used; not so weight or big), find a way to reduce
buttons to what you really need leaving unuseful buttons to other
people/brands.

Rejoin the real photographic stuff (beyond MTF and the like), nothing more
and nothing less, hopefully with a new perspective. These fields should be,
in my opinion, where leica should focus her strenght. Not easy, of course,
but important to regain credibility in the pro market, still at higher
level. 2 different offers (pro and amateur) as others are doing, may be one
possibility. Are there others?
