The other day, I got a call from our local copper mine and told to be at the
mine site at 6:15AM, yesterday morning.

I spent a half day there, in pursuit of two photos they wanted... and which we
got. Along the way, I got a few more, just for fun.

This is a quick-and-dirty 5 panel pano, hand held, of the pit - one of the
largest in the world.

The pit does not look that big, until you click on the image, and start to move
around, using the scroll bars at top and right. You'll see small trucks
moving about on the roads... and you realize the size only when you understand
that these trucks carry 240 tonnes (1 tonne = 2,200 lbs) and their tires cost a
modest $38,000 each!

Caution: Those on dial-up should know that this is a 8.8mb image.

C&C welcomed as always.

Cheers!
