In response to Mike's musing about the days before Lens-Baby he mentioned the
plastic Sima Soft Focus Macro lens.  I purchased one many years ago and managed
to keep in good condition.  I actually won a couple of ribbons in our state
fair competition for shots where I used it.

My son, now 29, remembered it and asked if he could borrow it a few months
ago.  He works in the film industry and was doing still photography for a movie
being shot here.  The art director of the movie loved the shots my son was
getting on his Nikon DSLR and wanted to buy it as he had never seen anything
like it.  We didn't sell.

Now to the Leica relevancy.  Mike asked about finding T-Mount adapters for
Leica to T-Mount.  Adorama in NYC shows one by Bower for $16.95.  Looks like it
will work.  I know I am going to buy one so I can use the Sima on my Leica SLR.
