Damn good work, this. It does that simultaneous jump-off-the-page yet
arrest-the-eye thing. As a matter of fact, selective focus is another
great tool that seems to be drifting away...
Have we seen some of these before?

Brown dirt cowboys was done with the R8, 50mm 'Lux wide open, and the
Rollei 6003, with 80mm, and 60mm, also mostly wide open.
The shots of Esteban in the paper itself, also include a nearly full
page,
11x14 tabloid, close-up portrait of him with the 'Lux wide open. It
looks
great, with bokeh flying off like quark particles.
All on Agfa Ultra 100.
The cover was the 80mm, at either f2.8 of f4.

Was done with the Super SpeedGraphic, with a late 180mm, closed down
one
stop at f8.
I guess there's still life in this old gear after all.
