:-) to be fair, I didnt say the dmr was museum fodder yet! One look at your 
images shows that, shows it most definitely, but the glidepath to unfixable is 
pretty obviously set unless I am quite mistaken. (NOT Unprecedented in my Life!)

As a fellow M8 owner I definitely understand your comments about having to see 
them as tools and not 'expensive objects' otherwise it will compromise your 
photography, your techniques, and the images you make with a camera.

If I had a DMR I'd be using it, too. Definitely not as successfully as you are, 
but it would accompany me to minor league base ball games to shoot pictures 
from the 1st inning to the last. My M8 and all it's kit did just that last 
week. Had a blast, not many good images resulted, but I spent almost 3hrs using 
a Leica M almost continuously: What's not to Love? 

In retrospect I am wondering about the value of having asked the question in 
the first place :-).
