Hi Doug!You really don't need all the wing, to make the shot work. You do, however, need a wee bit less foreground.
I had the same "problem" with a couple of Bar Headed Geese, last year. http://www.telyt.50megs.com/nab_barhead_flight.htm I was lucky, there were only two of them, so I didn't need to clone out the ones ahead. :-) ( BTW: you did a good job of cloning, and I would not have suspected, had you not told us!) Panning the shot, on the monopod, while focusing "on the fly" was challenging enough. Still, I think the shot works, without all the wing. I think yours will, too, if you crop for a tad less foreground.
