A fascinating series ...
I loved the shadows cast by the ramada in front of this house. I
couldn't decide whether I liked B&W or color better, so you tell me.

Hard to decide. I agree with what Alex said, about the B&W bringing out the
texture, but I think I prefer the colour shot. Whatever floats yer boat.

Ansel Adams was here at least twice, in 1929 and 1942. The church has
changed a lot since he first photographed it. Twin bell towers and a
balcony have been added and the courtyard paved with flagstones. And
Ansel waited until the light was illuminating the walls obliquely,
bringing out the texture. My wife and friends would not stand for that...
The biggest problem with being a tourist, anywhere, is the family and friends
who don't wish to wait.
There are folks who photograph with 8x10 cameras, lugging them, one sheet of
film and a lunch to wherever they've decided to shoot, and then wait for the
light to be right. It's either a solitary hobby, or a recipe for divorce!
