Steve,
I have no experience whatsoever with Windows machine, being an Apple
user since 1980 with an Apple }[+ (with 64K RAM!).
So I cannot comment on Mac vs. PC. However, my G5 Mac is calibrated to
Gamma 2.2 (to which Apple moved some time ago, I am told, unannounced)
and I could hardly make out the white images on the LUG web site that
Philippe posted.
I now have two amazements:
1- that your version of the picture is much lighter and more to my
liking. I can actually see the swans! Hurray!
2- that you attached an image to your email to the list and that is
where i saw it!
Saints preserve us! I thought attachments to the list were verboten. I
guess I am wrong.
David, Xavier: what goes on here? Did I miss a major breakthrough?

Not on the Mac
Yet is on the PC ...
same question over and over again
I am not surprised, same problem for all of us, not the fault of the
mac or the PC...the two are always different, and any two macs or
two PC's will be different as well, so when you are right on the
edge...
one size does not fit all....
btw I did this...it looks very good at least on my imac...
