BTW, I read an article about Ivory-billed Woodpecker. It is
considered extintc. But some recent data suggest this might not be
so. Infact, there might be some evidence from 2005 (?) suggesting
the bird was seen again. Can the Birdman of Sacramento confirm these
speculations?

Charlie, are you aware that the 1.4x APO Extender can be modified to
fit the SL? The 280 f/4 APO + 1.4x APO is a sight to behold through
the SL viewfinder! Thanks as always for your comments. I could
spend days watching these sea birds.
