Hello Philippe,
   I wanted to kick my '2 cents' out into the ether regarding the image you 
shared from 'your favorite garden on earth!' -

 I do think you've got a fantastic little spot there for viewing, relaxing, and 
definitely for photography. My thoughts on the 'image' itself aren't quite so 
chipper though. To my eyes, the fairly prominent out-of-focus vegetation in the 
frame isn't adding anything to the image and actively subtracts from it by both 
being a blurry distraction itself and by pulling the viewers eyes up and out of 
exploring the dimensional relationships of the wall, the structure, and the 
flowers, in the scene. 
   I'm not at all sure whether excluding that 'plant' or including it, but in a 
sharp manner was even an option for you at the time you captured the image, 
because I simply wasn't there and have no idea of the circumstances you were 
coping with. My comments are upon the image you shared and that blurry section 
looks out of place and is distracting to me as a viewer.

I'm certain Dr. Ted likely can phrase the following information better than I 
will do so. I'm attempting to distill the advice of the learned grey beards in 
the Photo Program I studied in once upon a time and each re-write of this 
paragraph sounds worse than the last! Here Goes:
The Viewer only has what You, the photographer, put in the Image you share with 
them. Whether the parts of the image are helpful or  distracting, it's assumed 
their presence is by Choice and your Choices will be judged accordingly whether 
they enjoy that image or not. 


I hope I don't sound all harsh and judgemental communicating these opinions and 
thoughts like this. On a scale of 1-10, I think this garden image contains 
parts 
which make it a solid 9, easily, but that stray green patch knocks it way down 
on my list to a 5 or 6.
