Great recollections, Xavier. Thanks. But I’d like to make a friendly
correction. There is a pyramid in Memphis TN - right along the banks of the
Mississippi River - though I don’t think that they’ve moved Elvis’s remains to
it. If the Pharohes had conceived of corporate-sponsorship for their earth
works and buildings, perhaps we would all know the site as “The Saqquarah
Pyramid by pappyrus-maker, Achmed et FIls” much like in Memphis TN, "The
Pyramid by Bass Pro". :)

There are other pyramids but they all collapsed, only a heap of stone is

It was often that I would drive there on Friday back in 91/94 with my Peugeot
405. On way back there was a small restaurant serving nice kebabs and chicken
grilled on charcoal. A nice joint unknown by tourists. The last time I went
there, there is an hotel replacing the joint (in 2004...)
But Saqquarah is still a place of active archeology, the whole area of
Memphis (No Elvis' tomb there ....).
Damn, Time flew away....
