Merci vielmals,Bombardier has a factory not far away and produces a lot of the suburban and regional rolling stock for DB, so there must have been a deal in there somewhere.
I can't really imagine travellers thinking "Aha! Bombardier, that reminds me, I wanted to buy a new train".
I'm sure the place does work as planned, which is more than can be said for the punctuality of German trains, but it's still somewhat overpowering. They should also do something about the forecourt, it looks like a deserted airfield.
Most of the rest of the city is great. Cheers Douglas Philippe Amard wrote:
What a nicely documented series Douglas! And when watching it, one shares the feeling. However, knowing German Herr Doktor Dipl. Ing. etc. a little, I'd be surprised if the whole contracption did not work as planned. More, architects there usually come up with sets that are not only functional but also pleasant to look at. Maybe you simply missed that extra light that would have made it a cathedral to Canadian bred trains? ;-)Thanks for sharing very neat photos and the feeling of the day.
