Hi David,
The good part about this picture is?.the Bull appears ?not to have horns!? J Trust me that really is the good part!

Good Mornin' Ted!

Yes ... this bull had been "shorn", because he has a known history of using his horns against his riders.

Simply because the picture is ?picture ? timing - focus perfect!?

Thankee, kindly, good Sir!

Quite often once the bull dumps the rider, they immediately spin about head down and proceed to head hammer the rider if he?s still on the ground. That?s one of the main reasons there are rodeo clowns who jump in front of the animal distracting it from killing or injuring the cowboy. Well done David you?re developing an interesting collection of salable photographs to cowboys and rodeo magazines. However if you haven?t been shooting in the competition infield from a position in front of the ?chute? gates may I offer a tiny bit of advice? DON?T! J It?s bad enough covering a football game and being on the bottom of the pile when 3 or 4 players knock you to the ground on the sidelines and you?re on the bottom of the pile camera still in hand. J But being knocked flying by a horse is enough to deter anyone from ever becoming a rodeo photographer. But a bull is the worse by far! Being knocked flying, you one way.. cameras into space launch! J Trust me from experience there?s only one hit worse? that of a flying wheel off a crashed stock car during a race! They all hurt like hell! J

I believe you, Ted! But, I'm also willing to take your word for it! ;-)

Thanks for looking... and for taking the time to comment.

Cheers!
