Thanks, Aram! Yeah... it was a fun time. The backgrounds, bas as they were, could have been worse. The spot they played has dart boards in the background and at the last moment, we covered them with one of the Pub's black table cloths. But, then Harpdog hung two black T-shirts with his image and logo, in white, in front and that's the nasty background that couldn't be helped. As for the yellow walls... well, it's pub!I wish I had the photoshop skills to bring down the background, but I don't.A couple of weeks ago, I posted images of Darrel & Saskia... more musician friends of ours. Flushed with our success with Harpdog, we're now thinking of bringin' them in, next fall, for a show. Who knows... could be the start of a new career! ;-)Thanks, for looking, and for your kind words. David.Other than the background, which probably could not be helped, it is a greatshot. He's looking right at you and you nailed him, focus, exposure and pose wise. Sounds like it was a fun time, and a profitable one for the horse club. Rose and I became impresario's, organizing a fund-raiser to help pay for some badly needed electrical upgrades at Rose's horse club. We brought in friend... Harpdog Brown, (he has a real first name, but he's gone by Harpdog for so many years, that if you call him by his real name, he usually will not respond!) and his "Traveling Blues Show".Harpdog recently won "Canadian Harmonica Player of the Year" and his album "What it is", made #32 on the top 100 blues albums, world-wide, last year. So, while he's not an international star, he's certainly well known on theCanadian Blues scene. Now, Logan Lake is a small town, of some 2300 souls (and even that might be a wee bit optimistic). We don't get many acts of national caliber and those we do get are few and far between. Wednesday night was a sell-out crowd, something not seen in our little burgh, in over 20 years. The band was good and the place was rockin' until 12:45 am, in a town thatusually rolls up it's sidewalks by 8 pm. Yesterday, the show was the talk of the town, and we are already making arrangements to bring Harpdog &his trio back again, next year. Best of all, after paying for the venue and the band, we still cleared nearly $1000 for the club! If the night was good, the lighting was "the balance of nature". Harsh, to say the least. Nevertheless, here's Harpdog. http://www.furnfeather.net/Look/Harpdog.html Comments, criticism appreciated, as always. David. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
