Hope you are having fun in all the cold and rain. My kind of weather, but
only if I have a refuge at night.
I would look at the Oly, but I like a full frame. Call me stupid, but when
I compare my Nikon D750 to Margie's Oly 4/3, night and dim light shots are
no comparison. In sun and bright conditions they are pretty equal.
But as I age, weight is playing a major roll, so one of these days I will
need to compromise and drop back to a crop sensor or even a 4/3, but I am
fighting it. Would like a good full frame mirrorless, however. Sony does
not do it for me, and I have yet to see an SL, but I am sure it is out of my
price range right now. I hear the EVF is better than even the Q, which is
heads and tails better than any other I have seen. Would be nice if the Oly
can match the SL. I know the M versions used the Oly finders, but I think
the SL is a way better beast. I will look of the Mrk II to see how, on
paper, the EVF compares.
Hope Rose is enjoying the weather. But, hey, you guys should be use to
that. Just like home.

For a lower cost option, in a small, light camera, check out the coming
Oly OM-D EM-1 mk. II. It will use the same eVF module that the Leica SL
uses. To be officially announced, Sept. 19th.

One day in April 2003 my wife Marian brought some tulip blooms from the
Farmers’ Market and put them in a vase by our kitchen window, where they
were backlighted by sunlight.
I could not resist and with my R9/DMR made a series of shots, this one
with
the 100mm lens, 1/125 @ f/6.8. ISO 200.
