Thanks, Sonny. Blackberries! That explains the thorns and the vine-like canes.
Yes, I am teasing. I have always liked your images and the way you end up
processing them. You have a wonderful “eye” and sense of composition, color and
light - though sometimes I don’t understand what I see and that prompts the
questions.
Best regards,
Peter S.

A lovely image, Sonny!
I love your flower shots, and understand your intentional darkening of the
background, to make your subjects stand out. And, I like it!
However, did you not mean that you've "burned" the bright spots in the
background ... making them darker? Dodging them would make them brighter.
Izzat not so, or have I been too long out of the darkroom?
No matter ... still a very nice shot.
David.
Yes, they are blackberry blooms. Each stamen turns into a seed on a------
berry, but I'm no expert on flowers.
If you're not teasing about the dark, (which I don't see on three
monitors, a iPad Pro, and my iPhone X) then perhaps you need to check
your monitor, or resign yourself that I'm shooting in situ, available
light, and where I find them. I usually spend much more time editing
than shooting, and my aim is always a pleasant image drawing attention
to the bloom. I usually subdue the background as much as possible,
avoiding blooming (heh) of the whites. Thus this image not only has
vignette applied, but I've also dodged bright spots in the bokeh.

Good morning, Sonny. You have a wonderful image there, I think. :) TheSonny
light and the textures of the petals and the foliage are great, but
why so dark... :) Seriously, thank you for the image. Do you have any
idea as to what the white flowers are named? I have never seen a white
petal flower with some many stamen, before.
Best regards,
