I was not suggesting that your monitor is wrong. I am suggesting that Sonny
has his set brighter than either you or I. I do printing, so I have set my
monitor to about 100 cd/m^2. That means my Dell is set to a brightness of 19
on a scale of 100. Pretty dark, perhaps, but it works well so my calibrated
monitor matches the density of a print on a profiled file sent to my Epson
R3000, or to a print service. If Sonny has his monitor cranked up more than
you or I, when he saves his file that looks great on his monitor it will be
dark on mine. I just accept that as mine is set to what I want and need. And
I would guess than perhaps more people have theirs turned dimmer than his if
other’s photo look fine to you and I.
Nothing is right or wrong for each individual. Just depends on what you like
to look at and what works for your purposes.

Aram,
I thought about tat but all other photos, like yours, seem to be as expected. I
will check the calibration.

I have always noticed that about Sonny’s images. Probably a monitor
calibration/preference thing. But that does not alter the fact that the images
are wonderful.

Nicely done but by my personal tastes it’s a bit underexposed.
Thanks,
