Obviously this was sent before it's time. ;-)
The 400 isn't bad at all given the sharpness as shown without any extra
support. Damn fine actually. Sure makes it nice long reach sports lens. Or
in the wilderness a good birder lens set up.
I prefer the Leica shot as it appears crisper look compared to the Zuiko.
But the hard to tell on screen sometimes.

Without the use of the pistol grip or shoulder stock. This was indeed,
"doin' it the hard way", but I wanted a true test of the IS.
The framing in the second shot is off, as I find the 400mm (especially with
it's 800mm FoV) hard to aim, without the monopd or shoulderstock, but the
results still amazed me!

David don't apologize about the equipment handling as damn few here could
hand hold a 400mm as a 400, let alone set up as an 800mm. :-) They are not
an easy task even with shoulder brace and high shutter speeds.
