Hi Douglas,

Your site opened and I heard and felt the beautiful sound of that powerful
Merlin Spit engine roar over me. I never could get excited about the
"clipped wing" version as it seemed more P51 instead of the pointy wings of
the original Spitfire. As it always was the perfect silhouette that scared
many an enemy pilot when he looked up and saw one bearing down on him, quite
often his last look at life.

And although I had the privilege of doing my flight in the Mustang P51 a
couple of years ago, I'd climb aboard a Spit at the drop of a hat today. :-)
When I win the lottery we'll do it together. I'll fly and you Chief
Photographer! :-) Then we'll reverse roles and you have a go at flying! :-)
Me photog. :-)

Thanks for starting my day off just right with your photographs giving me a
nice feeling about my boyhood dreams of being a Spitfire fighter pilot!
