Hi group,
I can't really say anything much about the Nikon body options, but while
reading folks comments I did notice a few folks were expressing
dissatisfaction the viewfinders. It sparked a thought for me: Have folks
considered the Katz Eye focusing screens?
They sell aftermarket replacement screens for most every dSLR being sold or
has been sold in the relativly short life of the breed. They are available
with a range of different manual focus assist devices: split rangefinder,
dual split, fresnel focusing collar, and the ever useful ground glass
designed for manual focusing. Additionally they claim to offer an upgrade to
a super bright screen which transmits a lot more light. The screens are also
all available with just about any configuration of crop marks you might care
to have and grids and graduated reticles and such.
Whether this might be useful items for folks, I cant say, but it might be
worth a google search. I think the website is www.katzeyes.com but dont
quote me!

Sincerely,
Richard Ward
