I'm with you... their attire was really rich, yielding well saturated photos
without needing to be enhanced. It's what got my attention, as a
photographer,. for without that, a serenely peaceful protest does not create
much interest.
When I first come out of Parliament, they were all meditating while sitting on
the ground, without mats. Must have been very cold, for it was snowing. By
the time I could run to the hotel and fetch my camera, they were standing and
it had quit snowing. Better for them... not as photogenic for me.
I have a few more faces in the crowd which I'll share over the coming days. A
most interesting group!

members of the high & mighty. An interesting couple of days!
All the more-so, because Ottawa is in the midst of their Tulip Festival,
held each May. And, on both days, it snowed! On Tuesday, there was only
sporadic snow, and the members of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa)
turned out, in force, on the lawns of Parliament.
Falun Gong is an offshoot of the Buddhist faith, a discipline combining
slow-moving exercises and meditation with a moral philosophy centered on the
tenets of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. For reasons unknown to
me, they have been widely persecuted, in China, as the Chinese government
has sought to stamp out the practice.
Mind you, meditation and slow moving exercise is never easy, at 0C (32F),
but they were dressed for it.
