Hello George & Ted, I would like to thank the both of you for presenting your thoughts on systematically exploring what ones' lenses do in the near, the far, and at it's various apertures. While I have had very few qualms about shooting any of my lenses at whatever distance or setting I needed to get 'my shot', I've not rigorously tested each lenses behavior so I truly know what to expect when I press the shutter release. I certainly 'play' with the lenses and get a feel for their handling and what it's like to operate with them at various distances and in various scenarios so I know what to expect when I bayonet it onto the camera out in the field. I'll have to see about implementing this 'new' regimen sometime new. Who knows what I'll learn from the endeavour! My thinking and My habits were challenged today and I thank you both for that.
