Thanks, Philippe!
Exposure was 1/800th, f1.8, ISO 4000. (Auto ISO varied all the shots in this
series from 2,500 to 6,400 as my minimum speed was 1/800th to stop the action.)
I love the 4-thirds format. The 2x crop factor gives me a lot of reach, for
birds & other wildlife. And it turns my 75/1.8 into an effective 150/1.8. Ideal
for things like skating in lousy light.
But, it's one downside is noise at high ISO's. Still, up to 1600 it produces
far better noise/grain than Tri-X ever did! Above that, it fares not so well.
But, with some careful tweaking...
Thanks for looking & commenting!
David.
Nice David, and the noise is quite well contained. What was the ISO, I------
can't find the exif.

After Saturday's show was over, the kids all lined up to take a bow.
Elvis came out to join them and took the opportunity to give yet one
more lesson in how it's done.
YMMV, but I thought this was the best shot of the afternoon.
