Donji Milanovac is an eastern Serbian town of some 2,400 souls. The town is
visibly poorer than it's neighbours as Romania and Bulgaria are members of the
EU, and lots of EU money has been received by them. Serbia is hoping to enter
the EU, but so far, no go. They hope to become full members by 2025.
Donji Milanovac was built in the Tito era, so apartment buildings are adorned
with historical (and occasionally, religious) propoganda.
