But Howard my friend! Be that as it may, just moving puck in what one would
consider a news type photojournalist photo? WOULD'VE GOT YOU OR DAVID FIRED
THESE DAYS!
I suppose if one wishes to make great photos through there "TWEAKING
RE-TOUCHING ABILITIES?" That's another story?
And if carried out? It should be pointed out "AS YOU DID!" That fiddling image
had taken place.
However your changes certainly turned the original into a winning photo. Let's
say this was a changed photo by a wire service photog and he put it on the wire
as his actual shot? (They have done this and been caught and "FIRED!) AS HE
SHOULD BE !
This kind of manipulation never entered my darkroom mind anytime during my over
60 plus years as a photojournalist. And it never at any time since digital.
ANYWAY. Yours is an excellent example of what can be done without a trace of
fiddling the photo can be seen.
I suppose if one wishes to cheat then they should be HONEST!
I love your example as it certainly points out just how perfect manipulation
can change the complete situation in a photo can be changed without the viewer
being the least bit aware.
cheers,
ted

Subject: [LRflex] David's hockey picture
Hello Flexers,
At my request David kindly sent me a jpeg of his hockey shot and I played with
it a bit,
cropping the left side and removing the offending hockey stick. Then in a
second run at it
I moved the flying puck to the centre of the photo and here is the result
posted with David’s permission:

Please have a look. Comments welcome.
