You're buying a computerised machine. All machines are fallible, including the human body (pity it doesn't come with enhancement upgrades). Leica are undisputed mechanical engineering kings. I've never seen mentioned their, or any other camera manufacturers, code cutting prowess in the broader software engineering communities. My personal philosophy doesn't allow purchase of the first evolution of computerised machines, always wait for the third or fourth iteration. This will probably blow away with the wind the instant the digital M is released (important to remain flexible).
