I remember maybe a year ago or less reading about a processing software that
would read the LR catalog, but I cannot find any more references to it. I am
not sure it would also read the developing scripts for each photo.
Anyone else remember this?

I took the subscription trap plunge - costs my a packet of cigarette and a hald
a month - and after all who will care about my photos when I’m gone …
a) A desktop version will work so long as it is supported by your OS. This will
come to an end sooner or later.
B) A desktop version will support your camera until you move up and get a newer
camera.
There’s a price to pay for each avenue.
OTT : I think I don’t have the courage to reprocess most of my files using new
software - too lazy that guy I know.
Now, if it was technically possible to retain my previous work and adopt
another suite that matches or exceeds LR, why not. But I’d be cautious and wait
for others to report on certified successes.

the changes? When LR 1 came out it took me quite a while to wrap my head
around the non-destructive nature of working, but I have fallen in love with
it. But since Adobe came out with their subscription based model, I now see
it as holding me captive to LR. I have not succumbed to the subscription
version, still using version 6. That captive feeling is the main thing
holding me back on taking advantage of the new tools in the subscription
version. As of yet they have not come out with the tool that will tip me
over. I can do most everything I want in LR6 when teamed up with PS CS6.
So, I am curious as to what your plans are in this regard.
