Good Day David,
Indeed your fighter has a lovely costume and it shows the action.
Here, in south of France, there is a show made solely by bullfighters: the aim
is to grab a small trophy between the horns. The fighters are named 'shavers'
(raseteurs).
Still it is rather dangerous and it requires a perfect team timing:

Even kids have their own show, strictly secured by adults:

Well, I hope you have discovered a face of south France, enjoy.

Subject: [LRflex] Bull Fighting
I've spoken about the dangers of bull riding ... and it is, indeed, a
dangerous sport. And not just for the riders.
One of the most dangerous parts is not the ride, but at the end, when the
rider gets (or is bucked) off. At that point, the bull will often turn on
the now, flat on the ground, rider.
The unsung heroes of the rodeo are the bullfighters.
Bullfighters, are a small band of either brave or crazy (you decide) men who
regularly put themselves in harms way, distracting the bull with their
presence, so that the rider has time to get up and dash away from the danger.
It's true, that under their baggy shirts, they wear "flak jackets", to
protect themselves, but they do not wear masks or helmets. They really have
only their good judgment, quick reflexes and fast feet to keep themselves
from harm. Over the years, I've seen more than one, badly hurt.
Here's one, in action.
