G'Mornin' Bill!
Bitsy does, indeed, have a "full winter coat". He's not a lynx, but a
Maine-Coon - apparently one of the largest of all domesticated cats. When
it's 30 degrees (89F), he spends a lot of time sprawled out over our cool
basement floor.
However, we need to have a small discussion about your definition of "the Far
North". From where I live, to your house, is roughly 1450km (as the crow
flies). From my house, to the North, is another 1450km. That gets you to
Whitehorse, Yukon, where I spent several years, oh so long, long ago. But if
you want to go to the FAR North, then you have to go to Inuvik, NWT, or at
least to Dawson City, in the Yukon.
Rose & I live in what's referred to, here, as SOUTH, central BC. Just so's
we're clear on that! ;-) ;-)
Thanks for taking the time to look, and to comment.
David.

Bitsy certainly looks as if he has his full winter coat, a good sign,
especially in the Far North. Are you sure he isn't a lynx of some sort?
